A car wash employee broke the internal worm gear (broken teeth) by slamming the bootlid shut with both hands! it is at home Was pleased to find that they are still making these NEW and were available in two days! When I got it, all I had to do was pre-tighten the three mounting screws, then hold and tighten (don't over-tighten) the screws to mount the motor assembly flush with the mounting plate. However, a slight misalignment between the hook and latch did not prevent a proper connection between the two when the lid is down. Like new!
