I bought this a few months ago. I cook a lot, but I also use a food processor and knives a lot, and rarely use a mandolin except when I need thinly sliced vegetables, usually for scalloped or baked potatoes or some other vegetable pie or casserole. I've only tried using this mandolin 4-5 times and I can't even get a piece out. If you look, the gap between the feed ramp and the knife is not an even space, it's warped or deformed, so you always get a much thicker cut in the middle than either side. Also, after just a few uses, the blade already looks nicked like I pulled some tougher material through it, which just isn't the case. It is also difficult to disassemble and clean, there are many small crevices that are difficult to clean even with the very small and inconvenient brush that you receive with the device. The quality of design, materials and construction in general is pretty low and not worth the money. I'm past my return window and I definitely don't want another one of those wobbly gizmos, so it's going in the bin and I'll buy something else. Too bad too, conceptually the idea of a dial to adjust thickness and switch to "julienne" blades is a good idea, although the execution is just awful.
