Part is not easily accessible.

There are photos to download but I can't open my photos to download. It is located on top of the transfer case to the left of the front driveshaft outlet on most trucks and SUVs. I've had to jack my truck up and get it about a foot off the ground when the ride height is normal. I was then able to sit under the truck on the driver's side with my head between the front driveshaft and the torsion bar/frame member. I then found it easier to get under the transaxle crossbar and over the driver's side transfer case with a 1 1/8" box end wrench, and it was lost with no problem. I switched to a short adjustable wrench to help removing the sensor to lock and installed a new one by manually starting it and then tightening it with the short adjustable wrench to give me more room to move due to the smaller wrench, I didn't tighten it very much just tightened enough so I knew it wasn't going anywhere as as it's a derailleur it can't handle a lot of torque without getting damaged. This solved my flashing 4x4 derailleur when I changed it to 4wd as the original was broken and dem Front wheel drive didn't say to engage the axle so I had 4wd In warm and clean conditions this would take about an hour when the truck is jacked up for replacement. It took about 2 1/2 hours as I had a pile of ice under the truck that I had to melt and remove and find tools before I could remove the bottom of the old sensor and install the new one.
