I had a new rescue cat who was very well behaved in all areas except wanting to scratch chairs and sofas. I had success with a similar product on another cat many years ago so I gave it a try. It worked like a charm. Placed it where she scratched the most and she never tried more than once. Then all I had to do was keep an eye on her so I could place her anywhere she tried to scratch except her scratching posts. I left it for a month or more and sometimes I had to keep adding a section as it kept trying a new location, but after a few months the issue was resolved. This product lasted quite a while and when it started peeling off she knew it wasn't the right place to scratch. After a year with us, she decided to scratch a new chair, so tape it, and she knew right away it was forbidden. Smart kitty and good product to help her learn.
