Review on Smart Battery Charger/Maintainer with Engine Start - 2/10/25A, 12V | Fully Automatic | Cable Clamps by Joseph Flamm

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Nice to use - battery chargers

: works as intended I open the box, don't charge a dead battery, not sure how long that last note lasts: auto repairs can void manufacturers warranties, and too the weather conditions were cold and snowing. Could have been 5 stars but I had an issue with this unit which is listed in dislike. The clamps were too big to connect to the battery terminals (that's my main problem). My battery was 75-DLG Duralumin Gold, I had no idea what type it was so I set this unit to "Standard".1. The battery died and this unit does not confirm the clamps were connected so I connected a 12V 3A power adapter and let it charge for a few hours. after disconnecting everything and connecting this device. "Recharge" didn't work, so I clicked "Restore" and left it there for 3 hours.3. Turn the power off and on again. pressed the "Load" key. the indicator said "60%". leave overnight.4. I came back in the morning and checked the status of the device, it was off. My MMV showed a charge of almost 13V. the car started with no problems. Added note: The red clip does not snap on the positive pole. Black sometimes slips off the black battery post. Level 11.0 V. Didn't work, tried several times. Tried "recovery" as on battery power. This morning I finished this article and measured the voltage of 12.7V. The battery I was working with was 12.9V max. The 0.2V difference is a drain from the car alarm. I also have "uxcell 10 Pcs 100A Red Black Insulated Battery Test Clips Auto Alligator Clips to replace the alligator clip as it didn't clamp around the positive side. It wasn't the best but it worked. A light tap on the clip solves them.
