Revain Basics Drawing Notebook, 9" x 12", 80lb / 130gsm, 24 sheets My son usually uses a pencil, so we don't have to worry about bleeding. We remove him from the sketchbook he uses when he starts drawing pictures that he wants to hang up, so we decided to buy him a sketchbook as the paper is thicker than sketchbooks. The pages are perforated, making it easy to tear the paper from the spiral-bound book. The paper has virtually no teeth, so although the description says it's used for drawing with charcoal, I probably wouldn't use it for that purpose. For pencil drawings this book is perfect and helps to keep all his work in one place. Not sure if this will help anyone, but I've always had a hard time comparing apples to apples when shopping for sketch/drawing books in terms of pages and sheets. Pages are counted from both sides of the sheet, so there are a total of 48 pages (24 sheets) in this book.
