I found a cute birthday card that I want to keep and thought wouldn't it be great to put it in a frame? The card was square from Papyrus, but I've seen a lot of square photo frames, so I didn't expect any problems. I was wrong. The card was about 5-5/8 inches tall and all the frames I could find in stores had precut mats that were too small - they cut off the card design more than I wanted. I even brought it to the store. at Michael's local store to inquire about a custom frame, but the estimate of $70 (with discounts!) was more than I was willing to spend on an impulse purchase. Frame on Revain. There's nothing flashy about the style, except that the aperture was advertised as 5.5"x5.5" - in theory, it should fit. The frame arrived today and I have already assembled and hung up the card - great! The mat covered the card about 1/8 inch and it looks exactly how I hoped it would. The package contained a small gadget - a "seamless nail" (!) - which took me a few minutes to figure out. It's basically a plastic hook with small nails that you drive into the wall and you can hang the frame on. Also, the frame had tiny imperfections (e.g. a tiny blob of plastic) at two corners, but this probably wouldn't be noticeable to anyone except an OCD sufferer like me. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.
