The Redragon Impact mouse came in a nice plastic box. That's convenient. The mouse is big enough to fit comfortably in my hand. It's nice. The main controls have a light quick click. It's good. The side buttons range from a hard click on the front buttons to a soft click on the back. It is strange. I just plugged it in and played with it, and I felt the Redragon Impact would be a useful gaming mouse. Then I tried to install the software. Problems have occurred. First, the software for this mouse is not available from the Redragon USA website. Okay, I downloaded it from the Redragon Zone website. What I received was a RAR file, which I had to install separate archiving software to open. The first UAC screen listed the publisher as "Unknown". This bothered me but I continued with the installation which was constantly being interrupted by my antivirus software. So now I have a program from an unknown publisher trying to bypass my antivirus. I finally managed to get through this process, only to find that the mouse software didn't make any changes to the mouse, so I uninstalled it. At the moment I am absolutely dissatisfied with this purchase. Sounds like good hardware, but software is unacceptably suspect. who posted it I do not know. Is my AV too tight? I do not know. am i too paranoid I do not think so.
