We have an 8-month-old Golden Retriever who doesn't like to come when called. We were traveling this summer and wanted her to have more freedom in parks etc but also didn't trust her to come when called (especially if crossing the path of a deer). We were able to allow her to run with this on (works great with a halter fastened to the top/back. If you fasten to a collar or the front it can get tangled up in the dogs' legs). It served its purpose and we will continue to use it for training as well. Just make sure it doesn't get tangled in your legs too. I learned the hard way with a good rope burn.
