Review on 🏎️ Edelbrock 1721 Performer Street Fuel Pump by Eric Alcantara

3 stars = ok. I bought to replace an old 1721 that I had for 18 years that had failed. The refurbished kit could not be found. This new version has been revised. I mean cheaper. The casting is lighter and slimmer. Fewer screws hold the case together. Pretty sad. They should have a different part number than the previous model. I had to reconnect the fuel lines. I was hoping to just drop it. This is actually the 2nd one I've ordered. The first one was broken and didn't pump at all. It was hard to believe. Gave me seizures for a while. Primed before installation. Nothing helped. Then I finally took a bottle and a direct supply of gas and still no pumping. Went back for a replacement and it worked right away. So it's a decent pump, but nothing to get too excited about.
