🏎️ Edelbrock 1721 Performer Street Fuel Pump Review

I like the brand and the look of the fuel pump. I don't like the fact that it came without an Edelbrock tag. I don't know why it happened but I don't like it, everything else should be fine, I've had this before.

When I run this Edelbrock fuel pump on my SBC, it feeds an Edelbrock fuel filter that feeds an Edelbrock carburetor. Flooding my engine. I don't understand how they can charge so much for a fuel pump that still needs adjustment. I could do it with a standard $30 pump. That seems like a huge waste of money. To return.

This fuel pump works great. I had to add a fuel pressure regulator to get it to work well with my 3hp setup (three Rochester 2bbl carbs) as the Rochester works best at around 4psi, but other than that I've had no problems with this pump. I have about 400hp and this pump gives all the fuel I need. I figured why bother with electric pumps when you can use a simple mechanical pump that will work great with no issues? 3 stars = ok. I bought to replace an old 1721 that I had for 18 years that had failed. The refurbished kit could not be found. This new version has been revised. I mean cheaper. The casting is lighter and slimmer. Fewer screws hold the case together. Pretty sad. They should have a different part number than the previous model. I had to reconnect the fuel lines.
