Does the trick. - my new review

A frequent guest at our property complained that our bamboo shades were see-through, so we bought this film to give her some privacy. It's been up for a year, and the film still looks great. I gave it only four stars because the enclosed tools and directions are pretty much useless. I bought a film-installation kit from Home Depot, and those tools did a much better job. Installation is a pain because the windows have to be completely spotless. If there's even a speck of dirt, the film will bubble over it. Here's a couple of tips:*I cleaned the windows with extra-fine steel wool, a squeegee, and a drop of liquid dish soap in a bucket of water. It was the fastest, easiest way to get the windows crystal clean.*The water you spray on the windows prior to applying the film should be a fine, even mist. Too much water makes a mess, and not enough causes the film to bubble or peel.*To peel the backing from the film, sandwich one corner of the film between two strips of scotch tape - there should be about a 2- or 3-inch length on the film, and a 2- or 3-inch length extending past the film. Press the tape strips together firmly, leaving the last inch free. Then pull the tape strips apart, and you'll pull the backing from the film.
