If you want an accurate, repeatable scale, this isn't it.

Been using Gemini 20 for a month now. I've been waiting to review this so I don't distract anyone from a review too early with incorrect information. When I received it it worked very well. It even read the weight down to 0.04 or 0.06 and it was repeatable in the measurements. I was so happy with it! To be honest I couldn't believe it. Fast forward to a few weeks. Wah, wah, wah, the scales have kind of lost their sensitivity. I even changed the batteries. Calibration, recalibration. Aligned, realigned. DO NOT repeat it now. Not at all! I weigh something, leave it in the pan off the scale and try to weigh it a few minutes after turning the scale on (they have an unadjustable auto shut off) and get wildly different readings, sometimes differing by almost more than 1 grain with a 40-grain check, but it's usually 0.6-0.8 grains! You may not care if you want an approximate number. The scale sometimes works best if you take just one or two readings after careful calibration. If you keep using it, it will drift. He likes to calibrate often, but some weights change from day to day. The scale is position sensitive. Thus, one side of the platform registers a slightly different weight than the other sides and corners. Also, you will get different readings when using the included pan compared to other platforms, pans or containers. In summary, if you just want a tight, tight weight here and there, the Gemini 20 isn't bad for the price. If you use it frequently or repeatedly, look elsewhere for bean cradles. It should also be mentioned that I contacted AWS through their own website and never received a response.
