*** UPDATE September 2016 *** I still use this rack frequently and have not had any major issues other than those listed below. Now that the sticker on the rear vertical bar has completely come off, it no longer interferes with smaller bikes in the two rear positions. Also, I've had this rack in the rain a few times and there's no obvious rust on it except where it goes into the hitch on the car. I LOVE this bike rack! I've used it dozens of times for trips ranging from a mile or two to 500+ mile trips, most of which have been on the freeway, and have had no problems with it! it moves a little (bends and bounces a little), but not so abruptly that it damages the bikes. However, I carry two adult bikes with aluminum frames and two girls' bikes with steel frames. If you have a more expensive carbon frame bike, this rack may not be for you as abrasion and/or pressure from the rack can damage the frame. This rack easily fit my 29" men's, my wife's 27" women's, my oldest daughter's 18" and now 20" mountain bikes AND my 14" and now 16" bikes youngest daughter. In short, if the wheels are at least 12 inches and the bike has two and some kind of frame connecting them, it will fit on this rack. Some users complain that they cannot tighten this stand tight enough. or breaking handles while attempting this. I haven't had a single problem. I've seen additional complaints about the frame becoming detached during use. I never noticed either. Well, having said that, I found out that you don't have to tighten this rack so much that the bike's tires go flat for the bikes to stay secure. Simply press the frame hook firmly against the bike and hand tighten the locking knob and it stays completely secure. My only complaints about this rack: Have used this rack, they pressed against the frame and scratched it from movement during transit. A little suede under the wires solves this problem. 2 The red reflectors are pretty small for this block to stick out that far out the back of the car. However, all the reflectors on the wheels themselves counteract this. 3 Putting a sticker on the vertical bar will interfere with adjustment if you have small (kids) bikes in the two rear positions.
