Frustrating, illogical virtual hard drive emulator

I bought this to replace my old Zalman that had a broken USB 2.0 port. Compared to my old Zalman from 2011, this iodine is significantly inferior. This is simply because if you want to change modes from HDD to ODD (storage to emulation), you have to turn the device off and hold the switch on the side, then plug it back in. This puts you in an unsettling situation when trying to repair your computer, hoping for the device to go into virtual disk mode at boot time. In other words, you have to catch the machine at the right time to load it properly, which is a huge waste of time and frustration. My old Zalman can change mode without unplugging and shutting down, saving time and hassle. Luckily I got my old Zalman fixed after giving up that Yodd. Like Zalman, Iodd has a confusing Asian site where you look for support and firmware updates. Somehow, Yodd's site is even more confusing and difficult to use.
