Pros: I have a lot of videos on my iPod Classics and needed a convenient way to watch them on my bedroom TV (a good price was important). I was considering the Apple Universal Dock but read that it has limitations and isn't for me. This DVD player/dock is AWESOME! Full featured progressive scan DVD player. The iPod features are great, you can use the remote to navigate the onscreen menus or (if you prefer) control the iPod directly and just use the dock as a docking station. The picture looks great from both DVD and iPod. Cons: Only one set of RCA audio outputs. DVD outputs are either component RCA or composite. iPod assembled only. You can use both component and composite, but you'll need to change the audio connections. It's annoying but not a big deal, I use it in my bedroom with an old LCD TV so I'm not too worried about the picture quality. (I use an AppleTV2 in my living room for live streaming). The printed manual is very basic but has everything you need. Summary: Great iPod dock with OSD and remote control with bonus DVD player.
