What a Great Modern Bible Retelling

This book is a modern day retelling of the woman at the well in John 4:4-30. loved her journey through 5 husbands, multiple tragedies and over forty years before her soul completely faded. It's about a community that doesn't have a very clear history and makes Roxy into someone everyone else has come to expect from her. It also depicts an unsupportive family whose main concern is looks. After all, it's about love that can't be found with a man or money. For me, it's not just reading a great story with great characters and a fast-paced plot, it's reading a tribute to the power to find inner peace and become who you are meant to be. Even if traditional Bible stories aren't to your liking, this book contains a story of finding your true identity that you won't want to miss! I received a copy of the book from the publisher to read and express my honest thoughts.
