Review on Enhanced Lowrance Hook Reveal 5 Fish Finder - 5 Inch Screen with Transducer and C-MAP Preloaded Map Choices by Mike Barnes

Images shown in advertisements have an internal map. That's a lie for this division. There is no internal mapping and no maps or anything to display a map on this 5X device. No downloads, nothing. Visual advertising is completely wrong. I bought the 5X because the ad showed a card and even the box it came in had a card. Lowrance packs the smaller 5X in the box instead of their 5. Even the instructions that came with this device are wrong. It has a GPS with a blank white screen and you set your waypoints and expect to return to them when you need them. NO MAP! Come on Lowrance, stop your cheap bullshit and tell people what they're really getting. Not amused! In addition, Lowrance delivers concise, vague 4-page box instructions. If you want to learn how to actually use the 5X Lowrance you need to go to Youtube and watch the tutorial someone posted on the 7 Hook Reveal and try replacing the 7 with the 5X. Well it's a joke! My advice to you is to stay away from cheap, disappointing Lowrances. I gave up the 5X completely and bought a Hummingbird due to some additional issues I was having with it. Hummingbird comes with a 35 page manual that covers everything. Never again Lowrance.
