I'm an IT consultant. When my existing NAS started making strange noises, I decided that if it should fail completely, I had to reproduce my existing NAS before I lost my life's work. Other brands are much more expensive than this device. The setup is very simple. It's basically plug and play. I used the RAID 6 feature and setting up the shares was an easy task. There are some pretty cool things about this device that will help if you have multiple devices that sync with each other for data security. I would recommend this to anyone looking for redundancy in a storage device. Hard drives spin very fast compared to my old machine. Data access is also very fast. If this company made a 5-bay device, I'd jump at it immediately.
