Review on Sony E 35mm F1.8 OSS SEL35F18 Lens - International Version (No Warranty) – Product Review and Specifications by Maurice Branch

I'm not sure if VTJC (which is listed with the seller at the time of writing this review) is the same guys as Premium Japan I bought this lens from so I will direct this review to Premium Japan. I think they also have an ebay shop so you might want to consider buying there even though this lens is $460 on ebay instead of the $395 I bought the lens for. The lens was delivered surprisingly quickly. I ordered the lens on a Monday and it arrived on a Thursday of the same week, which was a pleasant surprise as Revain's earliest estimate of when the lens would be shipped was Friday of the following week (although that may be because I live in Singapore, and Revain's guess was probably about shipping to the US). It arrived in perfect condition and with plenty of padding. I haven't had a chance to test the lens all that thoroughly in the last few days since it arrived and I'm far from being a lens expert, but this definitely looks like a very good lens as far as I can tell . Image quality is very good and the large aperture is excellent compared to what I can get with my kit lens. It's also very comfortable to hold when attached to my a5100. It actually feels more natural than the smaller kit lens, which is a bit more difficult to hold when attached to my camera. The only complaint I have about the lens is that this lens has a slight chromatic aberration. It doesn't matter and was only visible when I actually zoomed in on the images to check them out when editing the RAW files. Aside from that little quirk, I really enjoy shooting with this lens. As a newbie to photography, I definitely found it very useful to use the kit lens at first, but now that I know what focal length I shoot at most, this lens is a very good upgrade for me. TL; DR: Once you've decided on a focal length, this lens is very good. The store where I bought it was also very good.
