Doesn't work for everyone

I've been installing our televisions and electronics in our homes for over 25 years. I am very gifted, experienced and knowledgeable in this field. This is my experience with Luch. I bought this to install the Sonos Beam on a higher end 40 inch Samsung TV that is about 4 years old. This TV is installed with a fully articulated Sanus TV above a courtyard fireplace outside of our master bedroom next to the hot tub. .Firstly, Sanus claims the installation only took 15 minutes. As a rule, I never pay attention to "only x installation time". This mount is no different. Took me over an hour. Back panel screws included The TV was either too short or too long. I had to look for leftover screws from many other TV mounts I've installed in the past. I was looking for spacers for about 1/. 2 is too long. As you can imagine, this alone added 15-20 minutes to the installation time! I finally found some screws of the right length and decided not to use the supplied screws with some of my own spacers. and the installation of the bracket is very easy and simple. I will say no more. After about 1.5 hours everything was assembled, I connected all the cables and hung the TV back on the wall. Because the TV is tilted down toward the hot tub, tilting the TV acoustically tilts the soundbar correctly. The problem is that it looks weird! In the words of my wife, "That's a snazzy looking soundbar." Whatever it was, I was happy and got into the hot tub to enjoy my work. Using the Revain Fire TV remote, I pressed power. Nothing has happened. Only Luch intervened. I get out of the hot tub and inspect my work. I realized I forgot to plug the power cord into the back of the TV. I dry off, go to the TV and get ready to plug it in. At this point I understand that "one size fits all" does not apply. .BEAM MOUNT COVERING THE POINT WHERE THE POWER CORD CONNECTS! So of course I gave up. Think about what you could do. I could have added more standoffs and routed the cable under the space between the TV and the soundbar mount. I could cut open the bracket to expose the power supply. I could add a soundbar mount to the top of the TV. I could just take everything back. Beam and assemble. I really don't feel like drilling holes in the natural stone outside the fireplace to use the Sonos Beam mount.

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Some shortcomings
