Review on AMIGO AMI20014 Playin' Possum by Alex Marshall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Fast but fun with only a few players.

The idea of the game is simple and clear. It's fine for casual play, but the first round can quickly become the last, and if you're trying to play with just two people it's very limited. Try playing it with kids and their spirits will break quickly when they get kicked out in the first round. Also, the cards are beautiful and the trash can is very funny. The latter doesn't close very well, but my kids were already betting on it when (or as soon as) the game fell out of favor. In fact, they were willing to remove the cards on day one just to get a container. In any case, while I like the design of the cards, you should sort them into groups of three. The difference is only on one side and not for the color blind or visually impaired (especially in poor lighting). However, it doesn't matter if you have one of each type to establish your status: blame, steal, or play along. It's a very fast paced game and mostly for groups if you have more than 4 or 5 players and probably at least 10. It's too limited for me.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Some bugs
