I bought this filter because a filter change on my Germguardian is long overdue. We have 3 cats and the cat hair, dust and particles are overwhelming. But I hesitated because the price of the filters is too high. I came across this filter and compared it to the original. The original has a plastic frame and the pre-filters are flimsy and of poor quality. I really don't want to harm the environment with all that plastic anymore. Crafted in a cardboard frame, these HEPA filters fit snugly and are built to last. The pre filters are thick and high quality, I have no doubt they will filter out a lot more compared to the original. Also, for the price of 1 HEPA filter + 1 original pre-filter, I get 2 HEPA filters and 8 pre-filters. Price and performance can't be beat. Brilliant!
