Marc Jacobs is a fantastic brand, especially for shoes. I have several pairs and am blown away by how comfortable and wearable they are; They don't scratch easily, water (in reasonable amounts) doesn't seem to make them dramatic. I saw this pair and decided to give it a try. Children's shoes are often not changed; They seem to lack some of the qualities of their adult counterparts. They are the same quality leather as mine. The main difference is that the elastic inserts on the sides are slightly wider. This makes sense as it makes it easier for children to put them on and take them off. I was hoping they would fit my daughter (my eldest) and then pass them on to her brother but they are a bit small for her. I'll have to hang them up for a while before my son can wear them. This is normal as this is a classic style that will always be appropriate. However, I have to be honest: I'm not sure I would pay that much for children's shoes knowing that it is quite possible that he/she could only wear them for a short time.
