I don't know what I expected from a camcorder in this price range, but this one is interesting. I wanted to buy the one we had before that died an ignominious death from a tripod that fell over. It was no more, replaced by the wonder of the "new enhanced HD IR night vision". In fact, they only needed a simple video camera to record student presentations. The user interface of this camera is really terrible. We're talking terrible about the liver. Touch screen sensitivity seems random. Each executed command requires going back to the home level and touching the "Menu" again - hence each change requires multiple touches. It then guesses which category might cover what needs to be installed next. We started with the default settings and found that to be the highest resolution. Not good as it filled the SD card within an hour and ate the batteries like chocolate caramels. Now we hope that the selected settings will be sufficient for simple videos, but that remains to be seen. Probably a regular camera for the price if you are a patient person. I think COVID has escaped the last of my patience.
