This 24 pin to 8 pin ATX adapter is a REAL MUST when replacing a Dell OEM PSU with a Universal ATX PSU on a Dell Optiplex Replace 9020 Mini Tower. This allows you to install a standard size 500-750W ATX power supply in your original Dell Optiplex 9020 case using the same screw holes and bottom mounting tab. The 750W PSU is overkill for this application as the Dell Optiplex motherboard only has one graphics card slot. So you can easily do without a standard-size 500-600W ATX power supply. It is expected that you will add a graphics card that will require additional power from the power supply rails that the Dell OEM power supply does NOT provide. This adapter connects to a 24-pin power supply and an 8-pin motherboard. All receivers switch on as usual. No additional settings or BIOS preparation are required. It just works the way it is.
