I have tried knee high compression stockings but it is VERY PAINFUL to put on and take off. In addition, I sometimes had to wrap my ankle with an elastic bandage in them as well. Without compression stockings, I had to wrap my ankle every day. I have arthritis in my left ankle and work at a job that requires me to walk, stand and walk sideways all day. So I went looking for shorter compression stockings and came across these. At first I was skeptical. Then after putting them on I realized I didn't need to wrap my ankle anymore. Now, of course, I still take painkillers. But these socks work amazingly well! And when I contacted the seller about a sock with a hole in the seam, they gave me a 5% refund. I am very satisfied and recommend it to everyone. I just bought another set in a different color to wear every day. I am very comfortable.
