5 stars for "return" - 4 stars for overall quality. SIZE: a little smaller than I thought (THAT SHE SAID! BOOM!). The lantern itself is about the size of half a pack of cigarettes. Indeed it is good and not bulky. I know high quality flashlights for hiking, cycling and also tactical flashlights. This is a pretty decent headlight. Almost ALL parts are aluminum with very few plastic parts. The battery is a sturdy plastic case with a thick power cord. Light Output: The light output is similar to these high quality aluminum small tactical flashlights (like 2 combined). I'd say on "high" you get about 650 lumens of good flood beam. Optional: It comes with a self-sufficient rear light indicator system. and I have to say it was MUCH better than I expected. that's aluminum too. it's nice and bright too. (not sure what size battery is used). They also gave me 2 brackets for the headlights in May. This is a nice feature because now I can easily switch the light between bikes. OVERALL: You won't even find a flashlight of this quality for $20. ideal for road cycling and mountain biking in the forest. But for 95% of drivers, this is the perfect solution.
