Review on πŸ”Œ Legrand-Pass & Seymour SA993BKCC10 Black Connector: 15-Amp, 125-Volt Straight Blade, Two Pole Three Wire by Andrew Woodruff

Ok, same as Cooper but better Leviton

These connectors are well made but for around the same price I prefer Leviton products for their cable routing. All of them are easy to connect, especially after bending each wire into a small hook and tinning them first. Mechanism: Pass & Seymour or Cooper Products: The body containing the blades/bushings is inserted into the front of the outer shell. A very short screw secures the case to the case to keep the case from falling out. Because of this design, the cable needs to be routed freely through the back of the case so that the cable is not restricted. Leviton pieces open like a three-piece clam; The body is in the middle and the two halves of the body are hinged at the sides. A long screw connects the two housing halves together and presses the molded cable stop of the housing against the cable. "Loops" are just thinner sections of plastic; If flexed repeatedly they would likely fail, but in normal use they only open and close once to make a connection. The Leviton can be a little tricky to wire up as the wires have to go past the central plastic post where the screw attaches. Also, a large or stiff cord can make it difficult to fully close the case without squeezing it with soft-nosed pliers. The polarization is the same for all three brands: the pins are not, as they only plug in one way due to the ground pin. Socket outlets exist because they can accept ungrounded polarized plugs as well. Manufactured in: Pass & Seymour: China Cooper: Mexico Leviton: Mexico
