So this is not a critical review. I was satisfied with the filter and all its parts. I hadn't previously had filtered water in our fridge for my ice maker, so I was interested to see how this would affect the ice. He changed the taste a bit and that was an improvement. I wanted to see an improvement in the clarity of the ice, which indicates the removal of some of the water components that cause the ice to become cloudy. That wasn't the case, and frankly there's no pretense that this filter will. My guess is that extracting pure ice from our well water would require a much more sophisticated filtration system.
