I really liked these mugs, but my coffee would be lukewarm to cool half a cup. I had knee surgery and wanted something I could carry around and not have to get up every 10 minutes. UPDATE OK if you're anything like me living these mugs - I've actually requested a refund - but every time I've looked at the box I've been chilled. I ended up canceling my return request, I just couldn't part with these beautiful big red mugs. I found a solution, I ordered a Hydro Cell Thermos, size 40 oz. So problem solved, now I have to make room for my coffee addiction. While on my feet I can just sip it for 30 seconds and then add more coffee. I would recommend these lovely sturdy mugs if you like quality ceramics. Cups. No, they don't fit the description above, but they do have other good qualities. For some reason I don't like metal cups. I love a real coffee cup.
