Review on 24X25X2.25 John Boos End Grain Butcher Block Island Top In Walnut Wood For Enhanced Search Engine Visibility by Jose Cox

Gorgeous and useful if you can get it delivered without damage.

My $2000, 24x48x4 block arrived in a comically weak cardboard box that was disintegrated by the time it got to my doorstep. Unsurprisingly the corners were damaged and the block, while functional, was aesthetically useless. Returning a 175lb block of wood without a box took around 75 days. Explaining to customer service how a block of wood can cost $2k was exhausting. I called the manufacturer and sent photos and Boos said it was packaged appropriately. Expect to do at least one return in order to get the quality that you expect at this price point.

Pros
  • Cherry is lovely
Cons
  • Limited usage - While this butcher block top is ideal for kitchen use, its size and weight may make it difficult to maneuver or repurpose for other areas of the home
