In addition to the 2 terabyte solid-state drive that is already installed, I needed a disk to store files (samples and libraries for vsti). Mini-ITX form factor for the system unit; extremely low noise. As a result, a solid-state drive with a capacity of 4 terabytes (Tb) was also a top priority; however, you can purchase four HDDs of the same kind for the same price. Because of this, I made the decision to test out the hard disk drive (HDD) first. I chose the Seagate ST4000DM004, which has two 2 terabyte (Tb) platters inside of it. In order for it to work properly, the HDD needed to be able to read data quickly while maintaining a somewhat silent operation. The disc is manufactured utilizing SMR technology, which results in a decreased write speed due to the features of the technology; nevertheless, this does not affect the storage of data in any way. As a consequence of this, expectations were met in that it is incredibly quiet, the data reading speed matches the one that was announced, and the cost is relatively low.
