This is the big side of mini tripods. It clearly supports a large camera even with a zoom lens. I have a Canon 70D at 70-200 f/4 and it supports this lens and body with no problems. It's fairly light, but obviously not meant to be carried around if you can aim and shoot a little. Build quality is excellent, and the look and feel are great too. If you have a smaller point and shot, you can use it as a stabilization device and also add some more volume to your camera to make it more stable.
