Review on ETHMEAS Digital Instant Thermometer Bottle by Michelle Bell

There are quite a few digital food thermometers out there and many of them are very similar or look similar. read. Opening the probe turns it on without pressing a button, and the large LCD display is backlit for easy reading. normal CR2032 which is easy to find. It has a bottle opener on the end - optional but a bonus. It has 3 buttons: HOLD - to hold the current temperature. Useful when you just can't read the display from an angle. Light - Turn on/off the backlight manually. C/F - to toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit. It was important to me to have an easily accessible C/F switch. I use the Celsius scale as an engineer, but the rest of the family uses the Fahrenheit scale, so it was necessary to just switch scales. (Why the US is the only major country to use F seems silly.) One complaint is that the backlight turns off too quickly and you sometimes have to use the light button to turn it back on. The unit precision I got is +0.5. at 0°C and +0.8 at 100°C. This is quite enough to measure the temperature of food.
