Perfect for the first day. My daughter only skated once and started skating straight away. For the record, she just turned 11 and wears a size 4 1/2 shoes and I bought the large ones and they fit right out of the box with no adjustment needed. They are very beautiful, I like the glowing wheels the most. She says they are very comfortable. They are made in the same style as the skates. They have laces and a closure. They are more expensive than the ones I've seen in local shops (they weren't their size) but I can say the quality and comfort is what you pay for so I will definitely buy again, well worth the price . I know it's only day one so I'll update if anything changes, but I think they'll work fine.
