Review on Accurate and User-Friendly Preciva Tire Tread Depth 📏 Gauge with Large LCD Screen for Cars, Trucks & SUVs by Alfredo Testerman

To give some background I work as a technician at Ford and was really looking forward to receiving my new toy. As part of the inspection we offer for each car, I have to measure the profile of the tires and this cool gadget really caught my attention. The element shows an incorrect tread number, turns on by simply moving it which means I have to isolate it in my toolbox if I want it to work properly, and it shows trade depth in larger functions than 1/32 which I think is for a one time accuracy check would be cool but definitely should have a round/reduce function as converting fractions 3 times an hour for a 10 hour shift is no fun. I like the concept, but it's executed very poorly.
