We will not buy again. This is our second cappresso machine, the first was the stainless steel carafe version. We had trouble draining the coffee from the filter area into the actual carafe. We constantly get coffee grounds in our coffee, leaks on the counter and coffee that tastes very bitter. It's as if the piece between the top and bottom of the machine is broken. (We followed the instructions regarding the size of the base and tried both the filter that came with it and the paper filters, both of which gave us the same problem.) UPDATE: The seller was quick to respond and directed us to the espresso. Capresso sent our replacement parts free of charge. After replacing the parts, the problem got a little better, there are no more grounds in the coffee, but we still get very bitter coffee. Honestly it's disgusting. I keep reducing the amount of coffee, but it still tastes very bitter. We make 1 tablespoon per cup of store-bought ground coffee. Something is wrong with the combination of water inside and outside. The water just stays in the base too long (to brew a coffee pot for an eternity), I never feel like drinking this coffee and I think you should stay away from this item. Right now I regret not buying Mr Coffee.
