I ordered this for use on an HVLP gun paint line. At the moment I don't have a large water separator or dehumidifier hooked up directly to the tank, so a lot of water comes out of my hose when I use it with a blower attachment. When painting cars I use a Devilbliss Whirlwind Air/Water Separator which works fine but I need a dryer. my system is set up like this. Air Compressor > Regulator > 25ft Hose > Devilbliss Regulator > Devilbliss Water Separator > Motorguard Dryer Filter > iwata lph-400 balls didn't go pink right away, I used them for about 30-45 minutes before they STARTED turning 50% pink become. By using a Devilbliss Whirlwind Water Separator in front of the engine guard, you extend its life. Devilbliss separators work much better than "chepo" or nameless brands. and they are about the same price. So use 2 together to get the most out of your Motorguard desiccant filter.
