Review on πŸ”Š Enhance Audio Quality with MOBILE FIDELITY SOUND LAB INNER SLEEVES - MOFI MFSL (50 RECORD SLEEVES) by Brian Motley

Revainrating 4 out of 5

These are good cases, but I prefer the slightly more expensive DiscKeeper Audiophile cases.

Basically, I use three types of record inner sleeves: 1) Anti-Static DiscKeeper 2.0 sleeves - you can get them for $9.99 + $3 by mail delivered directly from the town of Rukava or here on Revain. for $14.99 Prime. I use them for most of my mid to mid range vinyl records and they are a good all round case at a reasonable price. They have a 2.0mm case and I don't try to fit them into the sleeve of a record sleeve as they tend to wrinkle. I put the record cover in the outer sleeve, then I put this cover on top of the record cover with the record outside. Makes vinyl easier to access as you don't have to pull the entire record sleeve out of the sleeve to play the record. 2) These MoFi cases are slightly thicker than the DiscKeeper 2.0 and have one side that is opaque and lined to make the case a bit more rigid. I use them the same way I use DiscKeeper 2.0 and don't try to put them in a record sleeve - they're too thin for that. They're a bit more premium than the 2.0 and proved to have slightly better handling for the extra money. 3) DiscKeeper Audiophile overlays. It's a little more than those mofi cases, you can get an Audiophile case for $19.99 plus $3 shipping direct from Sleeve City. But in my opinion audiophile sleeves are worth the small extra cost if you want the ultimate protection for your more expensive vinyl. Audiophile cases are covered on one side with thick "rice" paper sandwiched between polyethylene, but the inside is still polyethylene, so it offers good protection. It's also easier to fit an audiophile into a record sleeve if desired, as the extra thickness/rigidity means they won't crumple as easily and will want to slide much better. I really like these sleeves for the money and prefer to use them for my expensive vinyl. I still love those MoFi envelopes and have 100 of them, but for the price I would choose the DiscKeeper Audiophile (#3) envelope for my more expensive vinyl, and then choose the DiscKeeper 2.0 (#1) for the more useful envelope. Your opinion may differ, my opinion is just an opinion not right or wrong. So choose according to your own criteria. Thank you for reading.
