Review on Philips Norelco 6880/81 Shaver 6800: Ultimate Rechargeable Wet/Dry Electric Shaver with Trimmer Attachment by Lauren Lewis

Mixing bag for rotary shaver

I bought this shaver with high expectations. But reality has hardened her. This razor replaces my old Norelco 3 head razor. So here's my review: I was looking forward to the wet shaving function. It shaves wet or dry, but I didn't like the wet results. I get a closer shave when I dry shave. I think this razor shaves better than my old Norelco. In fact, it's very close to my old Gillette razor. So kudos for that! Cleaning is tedious. With my old Norelco razor, I just pushed the button and then squirted water over the blades and cutting area of the razor and that was it. With a new one, I have to disassemble it, put the blade assembly aside, wash the leftovers, rinse the blade assembly, and then put it all back together. it's a pain This shaver has a separate mustache and sideburn trimmer. You must completely remove the entire blade attachment, set it aside, and then attach the trimmer. My 68 year old eyes can't find the right way to attach a trimmer without glasses. Same thing happens when I put the razor blades back on. Fur! When I get up most often, I don't have glasses. Now I need her! My old Norelco had a built in trimmer. Just press a button and you're good to go. Hm? Why do without this function? The advantage of the razor is a very close shave and a very good battery life. That's why I give 4 stars. The old Norelco had a rudimentary battery gauge. The new one is great. However, you should not shave while the battery is charging. However, the new gauge should give me enough time to start loading before things get critical. I've had this thing since late May and it still doesn't need to be charged so time will tell if the battery is charged or if there's any problem at all. This would be a great razor if they fixed the issues listed above.
