We used these shoes for steep and rocky hikes in New Hampshire and they were great. Our child often complained and was frightened by slippery stones and fell into ordinary tennis shoes. So we bought them these running shoes because we knew they grow their shoes fast. However, they were similar to how Billy had encountered them while jumping from boulder to boulder on the mountain trails. Without slipping and without fear, I almost gave myself a heart attack with my new confidence in walking... lol. Seriously, great shoes that exceeded all expectations. They fit very well and are comfortable.
