So the candles work fine. Once I figured out how to connect them myself. I played around with them for a long time before figuring it out, so I can't tell you how. The instructions are very poorly written, as with most Chinese products. Number 7 was even inexplicably written in German, but that didn't matter in the end because number 6 was the last meaningful instruction. From there I had to figure out how to get my Alexa app to recognize them, which set them up as lights and not plugs. Now I can turn the lights on and off while yelling at Echo, so I don't have to stumble across the house in the dark to get to bed or leave unnecessary lights on. The WiFi signal is very weak. Well, and the network was immediately found and set up, on our own, on Centurylink DSL and a Cisco 1GHz modem. I would definitely recommend, but you'd better know the technology well enough to figure it out for yourself.
