This works well for loosening my tight plastic oil filter housing. You must first remove the metal locking pin (on the side of the plastic oil filter housing) before installing this key. Insertion is a little tricky as it presses against the oil pan. You have to turn the oil filter wrench until it goes in. The 14 grooves on the inside slide a bit so I have to put a turn of tape on the plastic oil filter housing. What weakens this tight plastic case is the 3 teeth of the oil filter wrench, the 14 grooves inside will slip off without those 3 teeth. Once the plastic oil filter housing becomes slightly loose, remove the filter wrench or you will not be able to remove it because it is touching the oil pan. I gave it 4 stars because this filter wrench is difficult to install and remove because it gets in the oil pan.
