Irreplaceable thing. I had to use a 1/2" gear wrench to remove the Toyota v6 filter. The 3/8" hole has some wear due to infrequent use. Just use the head if it's difficult to get it out. I give 5 stars.

The filter housings on these engines are not designed to withstand hard tightening. However, it happens. This tool offers a large contact surface for removing even the most stubborn cases. Simple design, great idea and everything works.

Today I finally had the opportunity to use it on my 2007 Sienna V6. This filter key works GREAT. Much better than the ones I got from Napa. This CTA key won't get stuck in the filter housing when turning on and off. It has enough "play" not to get stuck, but at the same time enough grip not to slip. I highly recommend this product.

This works well for loosening my tight plastic oil filter housing. You must first remove the metal locking pin (on the side of the plastic oil filter housing) before installing this key. Insertion is a little tricky as it presses against the oil pan. You have to turn the oil filter wrench until it goes in.
