Review on AlphaSmart Dana Handheld Palm 4 1 by Nick Shirodkar

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I would buy this again! It's worth it for the writer in me.

I bought it because of the screen for writing. See I also have an AlphaSmart 3000 but I could only see 4 lines at a time and scrolling back and forth was tedious at times. I bought Dana because of the screen. and I don't regret it one bit! It has a large touchscreen so I don't have to scroll through 2000+ words to add a line I forgot. But it's even better! I can bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, change font style and more! I can see what file I'm in (file 1-8) and more! I also like the feel of the keys better than the 3000. It has a more modern feel when I'm typing. It comes with a stylus which I almost never use. There are SD slots that I haven't used either. I use a write transfer cable. The speed is also much better than the 3000. The only thing I noticed is that the batteries drain faster. In this case, they last 3-4 months. However, it's okay. I can buy batteries for $1 at the dollar store. It also has a to-do list which I used as a written to-do list. All my other lists are on my phone. It also has a calendar which I don't use. But this is a Palm OS based calendar. And he's got alarm clocks that beep and things like that. I don't use all of these features as I have a phone that can do all of these. I just wanted this for a letter and it's worth it! I love it!
