Let me start with the good stuff. The face mask passed the candle test. This is how I feel safe when I'm outside. On the other hand, contrary to what I read in the reviews, I found the ear loop closures didn't hold up well (they slipped from the length I tightened them to) and even with the nose wire the mask slipped off my nose. What disappointed me the most (but I didn't see anyone pointing this out) is that after wearing the face, which was probably less than an hour later, the mask picked up a very foul, unpleasant smell (undoubtedly mine breath ), stronger than I have ever experienced with any other mask.
