Review on Old English Scratch Bottle Polish Household Supplies by Megan Marshall

Amazing little bottle

I think the name is a little misleading because this thing is universal. I sprinkle it on parquet floors, rub it lightly with a paper towel and that's it. I have a feeling this is the new soil in a bottle. It fills in scratches, evens out discolouration, polishes and even protects. I also use it to cover up scratches on furniture. This little bottle makes a big difference. I just made my first floor, dining room furniture and bay window seat with just this little container. In an hour. I usually apply one more coat, but these before and after photos only show one. TIPS: Vacuum the floor and furniture before use. It's an oil based stain (I think) and will trap dust and hair as it dries. I wouldn't necessarily use it to detect the bottom. You will notice this "blot" because it will be shinier than the surrounding area. - There is also a dark wood version. My floors are medium/reddish and I've used both successfully. The dark wood version made my floors look better, but if I was missing something, it was more noticeable.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
