So there are little flanges that look like they should stabilize the spacers on the bike frame so they don't move. But they don't really last. So you have to rely on the super tightening of the nuts. Make sure that when removing the original rear wheel nuts, the first thing you do when putting them back on is to make sure your wheel is straight and in the right place. If the wheel is crooked, the rear chain will come off the sprocket. But since the casters aren't secured for stability, overtighten the nuts and they're either an inch forward, causing the wheel to lean. Also, the part where the nut attaches to the training wheels is recessed inward, which prevents you from getting a good grip on the wrench and eventually removing it.
