Follow instructions and pray everything works

Bought to try and fix a couple of internal hard drives that I thought had died in the past. I tested this on a total of 3 hard drives: 1 ide, 2 SATA. The product includes 1) USB to SATA Female, IDE 40 pin Female, IDE 44 pin Female 2) IDE Male to Male Cable 3) SATA Power Connector and Molex LP4 12V Female Power Connector 4 ) 12V power supply, interchangeable with 3 other heads. 5) CD 6) User Manual. Before you plug anything in and fiddle around. Open the box and read the instructions. Throw the CD aside, it's utterly useless as your computer will either recognize the disc or not. I looked there and thought they would give you a recovery program to use with the device but I couldn't find it there. I could be wrong, so take a look. SATA Enable for Data: SataHD > SATA Data Cable > Star SATA to USB > PC. For power supply: SataHD > Sata power cable > 12V wall adapter. personal computer An attempt was made to access the hard drive. Turn off the power. Leave the drive powered on, USB connected to the PC. safely disconnect as indicated in the lower right corner. turn off the computer. Unplug USB, turn off hd. IdeSame acts like Sata, but the star connection is directly connected to IdeHD. I was able to fully recover data from 1 out of 3 drives. The other two died much earlier and I didn't throw them away. The live disk was from a previous PC build and I didn't format it afterwards. I haven't tried hard drive recovery software, so I don't know if it's possible to recover data from two dead drives. I had separate sections for each one, so that's part of the problem too. Eventually when booting one my computer froze when I tried to access it and the second one didn't even show up. Much luck!
